Pricing Transparency Policy

Last updated: May 2026  ·  Effective upon acceptance

This policy explains how Tasker rates work on Holler, what may and may not be charged separately, and the full fee structure so every party knows exactly what they are paying and receiving.

1

All-In Hourly Rates

Taskers set their own hourly rate on Holler. That rate must be all-inclusive. It must already account for:

  • Travel time and distance;
  • Fuel and vehicle costs;
  • Parking, tolls, and stairs;
  • Tool usage;
  • Any other operational costs of running their business.
2

What May NOT Be Separately Charged

The following items may never be submitted as additional expenses or charged as line items to Clients:

  • Gas or fuel;
  • Vehicle maintenance;
  • Parking fees;
  • Toll fees;
  • Stair access;
  • Distance or travel surcharges;
  • Tool usage or rental fees;
  • Mileage charges.

These are the cost of doing business and must be built into the Tasker's hourly rate.

3

What MAY Be Separately Charged

The only permissible add-on charges are:

  • Pre-agreed materials and supplies (per the Expense Policy at /expense-policy, maximum $100 CAD);
  • Dump/disposal fees for Junk Removal tasks (max $150 CAD, receipt required);
  • Assistant time (approved in chat, invoiced as additional hours, not as an expense).
4

Transparency in Category Descriptions

Tasker category descriptions may describe the kinds of work they perform and their experience. They may NOT include:

  • Incremental fee schedules (e.g. "extra $25 for cross-city travel");
  • Personal contact information;
  • Minimum hour requirements beyond a pre-disclosed 2-hour minimum shown in the profile.
5

Price Setting

Taskers are free to set competitive rates that reflect local market conditions. Holler does not set Tasker rates. Clients see the full cost breakdown before confirming any booking.

6

Fee Structure

For transparency:

  • Clients pay the Tasker's hourly rate + a 14% service fee + a 3% Trust & Safety fee.
  • Taskers receive their hourly rate minus a 5% platform fee.
  • Holler's blended take rate is approximately 22%.
7

Violations

Charging Clients separately for prohibited items is a Terms of Service violation and may result in invoice reversal, deactivation, and forfeiture of associated earnings.
